Hellboy Hunts The Crooked Man Later This Year (Trailer)
Hellboy is back for the fourth time in live-action with the latest movie based on the Mike Mignola character, Hellboy: The Crooked Man, coming out later this year. Jack Kesy takes over the role of Hellboy, who is hunting supernatural threats early in his career. He journeys to Appalachia in the 1950s to hunt down The Crooked Man (Martin Bassindale), haunting the area’s residents. Jefferson White, Adeline Rudolph, Joseph Marcell, and Leah McNamara co-star, while Brian Taylor, formerly of the directing duo Neveldine/Taylor, is directing. After the failure of David Harbour’s Hellboy, it seems the budget was severely limited, as this feels more like a fan film than a full-blown feature film. Mike Mignola did co-write the script, so maybe it will at least feel authentically Hellboyesque. There’s no release date yet, but you can check out the trailer below.
