The Last of Us Finally Returns in 2025 with Season II (Trailer)
Two years after it debuted on HBO/Max, The Last of Us is finally back next year with Season 2. While Season 1 of the TV series covered the first game, Season 2 will only cover a portion of The Last of Us Part II, which finds Ellie (Bella Ramsay) heading to Seattle on a mission of revenge when something terrible happens Jackson. Pedro Pascal returns as Joel, while Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley return from the first season. Isabela Merced, Kaitlyn Dever, Jeffrey Wright, Catherine O’Hara, Young Mazino, Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, and Spencer Lord join the cast for Season 2, with Dever in the pivotal role of Abby. The new season will be seven episodes. You can check out the first trailer below, which features “Future Days” by Pearl Jam, a song heavily featured in the game that inspired this season.
