A Minecraft Movie Crafts A Theatrical Release in April (Trailer)

The best-selling video game of all time is coming to theaters in April next year when A Minecraft Movie opens.

Jack Black stars as the iconic “Steve,” who discovers a portal to another dimension known as the Overworld and becomes an expert in using the various resources of the Overworld to create buildings, weapons, and other gadgets. When four misfits, Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Jason Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Hansen), Natalie (Emma Myers), and Dawn (Danielle Brooks) arrive in Overworld, they have to join forces with Steve to save the blocky dimension from the army of Piglins and other threats that could destroy it.  Jennifer Coolidge, Matt Berry, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement have undisclosed roles in the film, and it was directed by Jared Hess, who previously brought us Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre.  A Minecraft Movie is out on April 4th next year, and you can watch the new trailer below.
