How to Train Your Dragon Gets Real in June (Trailer)
Possibly trying to catch up with Disney and their live-action remakes, Dreamworks and Universal are taking How to Train Your Dragon into live-action in June. Mason Thames takes over as Hiccup, the son of the great Viking warrior Stoick (Gerard Butler reprising his animated role). Not quite as enthusiastic as his father about killing dragons, Hiccup befriends a dragon he names Toothless and tries to convince the rest of his Viking clan that it’s possible for Vikings and dragons to co-exist before a war destroys both species. Nico Parker plays Astrid, with Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, and Nick Frost co-starring. Dean Deblois, who wrote and directed all the animated How to Train Your Dragon movies, returned to write and direct this remake, and John Powell’s iconic score returns as well. It looks like it’s going to be literally a shot-for-shot remake of the original animated movie, with nothing new added, so we’ll have to see how excited audiences are going to get by that. How to Train Your Dragon is out on June 13th and you can check out the new trailer below.
