Taking cues from Goonies (and more recently Stranger Things), the latest chapter in the Star Wars saga, Skeleton Crew, sends a group of kids into the galaxy for an adventure.
When four kids discover an abandoned starship on their home planet, they accidentally blast off into hyperspace, leaving them lost in space. The kids run into Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law), a Force user who agrees to help the kids get home. The group runs afoul of a crew of pirates, and there’s some sort of lost treasure in the mix as well. Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, Nick Frost, Jaleel White and Fred Tatasciore co-star. Jon Watts, who directed the recent Apple TV+ movie Wolfs, along with all three MCU Spider-Man movies, is showrunning the series with Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, and Kathleen Kennedy executive producing—the first two episodes of Skeleton Crew debut on December 3rd with eight episodes total. Check out the trailer below.
