Clown in a Cornfield Slashes into Theaters in May (Trailer)
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Tucker & Dale and Little Evil director Eli Craig, but he’s back in May with the slasher movie Clown in a Cornfield from RLJE Films and Shudder. Based on the 2020 young adult horror novel by Adam Cesare, Clown in a Cornfield is set in the midwest town of Kettle Springs, MO. Quincy Maybrook (Katie Douglas) moves there from Philadelphia and learns about Frendo the Clown, a local legend who is the mascot of a corn syrup the town’s main factory used to produce. After being the victim of a Frendo-themed prank by some of the local teens, they start being stalked and killed by an actual killer dressed like a clown: Aaron Abrams, Carson MacCormac, Kevin Durand, and Will Sasso co-star. The movie looks like it has similar vibes to Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving and hopefully this will also be a fun, old-school slasher movie. Clown in a Cornfield will be in theaters in May and available on Shudder sometime after the theatrical run. Check out the trailer below.
