Musical Montage: Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
After a few movies of pretenders to the hockey mask, Jason Voorhees returned and, to celebrate, Alice Cooper was brought in to contribute the song “He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask) along with two other songs to the movie’s soundtrack.
Musical Montage: Cameo “Word Up”
Cameo was apparently so funky in 1986 that they were some sort of public nuisance so the police, led by Levar Burton, arrive to arrest them in the video for Word Up.

Getting lost among other 80’s dance movies, Fast Forward, from legendary director Sidney Poitier, follows a dance group from Ohio who arrives in New York City to try and win a huge dance contest.
Musical Montage: Koko B. Ware “Piledriver”
Koko B Ware delivered the title track to the, at the time, WWF’s second wrestling album, Piledriver, which features a ton of his fellow superstars in the official music video.
Musical Montage: Romancing the Stone
Before they teamed up for Back to the Future, Alan Silvestri composed the smoothest of smooth jazz for Robert Zemeckis’ Romancing the Stone, which also featured 80’s stars like Eddy Grant and Billy Ocean on the soundtrack.
Musical Montage: Brad Paisley “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive”
Brad Paisley’s version of You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive closed out the first two seasons of Justified and it perfectly captures the themes of the show and perhaps the fate of one or both of it’s main characters.
