
Kind of getting lost among other 80’s dance movies like Flashdance, Fame, Footloose, etc. is Fast Forward, directed by the legendary Sidney Poitier. The movie follows “The Adventurous 8”, a dance troupe from Ohio who arrives in New York City to try and win a massive dance competition. Quincy Jones and Tom Bahler produced the soundtrack, which is a huge part of the movie as you might imagine for a dance movie. One of the huge scenes comes when the group, trying to raise money to enter the contest, breaks into a fancy restaurant and blows the minds of the hoity toity diners.
