Based on a bizarre classified ad that became a classic meme on YTMND, Safety Not Guaranteed is a new indie comedy that made a splash at Sundance where a magazine editor and two of his interns head off to find the mysterious man behind the ad, who is looking for someone to time travel with him. The movie stars Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass and Jake Johnson and looks like your typical indie comedy, which is not exactly my favorite genre but it’s from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine, which I did really like so hopefully it’s more in line with that movie and less like other, more pretentious indie comedies. Aubrey Plaza is usually great in everything, so it has that going for it as well. I’m still holding out for this movie version of Safety Not Guaranteed but you can check out the trailer for this one below.
