Musical Montage: Luke Combs “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”
One of the biggest hits of the summer, Twisters leaned more into country for its soundtrack compared to its Van Halen powered predecessor, with Luke Combs providing “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” as the leading single. Written for the movie by Combs, along with Jessi Alexander and Jonathan Singleton, Combs said in an interview that he was trying to match the “high-octane, high-energy” vibe of the movie with the song. Released in May as a single, the song reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Hot Country charts. The album Twisters: The Album was released on July 19th with the movie. For the music video, Combs puts himself into the action as he chases twisters and sings in the middle of storms; check it out below.
