Musical Montage: Sabrina Carpenter “Taste”
Along with co-starring Jenna Ortega and Halloween Ends star Rohan Campbell, Sabrina Carpenter paid homage to several horror and spooky movies in the music video for her song “Taste.” The third single released off Carpenter’s Short N Sweet album in August this year, the song was another massive hit following “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the UK, Irish and Australian charts. Playing off the lyrics, Carpenter and Ortega play romantic rivals fighting for the affection of Campbell, “killing” each other in increasingly elaborate and gory fashion, but, in a nod to Death Becomes Her, the ladies are seemingly immortal and quickly bounce back from even the most horrific injury. The music video, directed by Dave Meyers, also features nods and references to The Addams Family Values, Ginger Snaps, Psycho, and more. You can check out the music video below.
