Musical Montage: M2M “Don’t Say You Love Me”
Just as big as the movie itself, the soundtrack for Pokemon: The First Movie went double platinum and featured the single “Don’t Say You Love Me” from M2M, which played over the movie’s end credits. A Norwegian pop duo, M2M consists of Marion Raven and Marit Larsen. “Don’t Say You Love Me” was their debut single, playing on Radio Disney first before debuting on US radio stations and as a single in October 1999 before the movie came out. The song was #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was #2 in their native Norway. The music video for the song first debuted in October during an episode of 7th Heaven on The WB; you can check it out below.
