Tron Enters the Real World in October with Tron: Ares (Trailer)
15 years after Tron: Legacy, the digital world of the Grid returns to theaters in October with Tron: Ares. Directed by Joachim Rønning, Jared Leto stars as Ares, a digital program who enters the real world on a dangerous mission. Humanity seems ill-prepared for the tech of The Grid, and it looks like there’s some cool interactions between stuff like Recognizers and Lightcycles against more conventional human vehicles. Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, and Sarah Desjardins co-star with Jeff Bridges being the only returning legacy cast member. Nine Inch Nails will be composing the movie’s score, and they have massive shoes to fill as Daft Punk crafted one of the greatest soundtracks of all time for Tron: Legacy.
