Production started on Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides and Disney revealed what the movie is actually about. It seems that Jack Sparrow runs into a woman from his past (played by Penelope Cruz), who forces him on board the Queen Anne’s Revenge, captained by the legendary Blackbeard (played by Ian McShane!) and off on a search for the Fountain of Youth. Geoffrey Rush is back as Captain Barbossa and Kevin McNally is back as Gibbs. The Pirates franchise got extremely bloated by At World’s End but if they can keep this one moving at a good clip and not have insanely convoluted plots then it should be fun. I’m interested just to see Barbossa and Blackbeard either duke it out or team up.
