This week starts out by continuing last week’s trend of trailers for some of this summer’s big blockbusters and today we got the first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Jack Sparrow is back and is given a quest to find the Fountain of Youth after getting arrested. He then runs into zombies, mermaids, Barbossa as a privateer, Blackbeard and his daughter Angelica and even his father. Hopefully they can streamline the plot and get back to the swashbuckling fun of the first movie. I’m also a little worried that Gore Verbinski isn’t going to be returning as director; Rob Marshall is taking over, who is mainly a director of musicals like Chicago and Nine, so I wonder how he’s gonna be with big summer action.
