The Punisher is a character who seems like he would be the easiest of Marvel’s catalog to adapt to the big screen but in three attempts, none of them of really quite gotten it. Tom Jane was a great Frank Castle, but the story and pacing wasn’t quite up to snuff where as in Punisher: War Zone, everything is amped up but Ray Stevenson is not quite as good. It’s still a crazy, fun action movie, especially if you enjoyed movies like Crank and Shoot Em Up, as Frank goes up against the horrifically scarred crime boss Jigsaw and his army of killers and parkour athletes.
