One of the big movies coming out around Christmas is the second part of The Hobbit trilogy, The Desolation of Smaug. The latest trailer is much more serious and action packed than the first trailer, which focused a little bit more on the slapsticky action sequences, like the chase where the dwarves and Bilbo end up in barrels going down a window. Bilbo and the dwarves are still on their quest to recover the dwarves kingdom of Erebor, which was taken over by the dragon Smaug while Gandalf is investigating the growing threat of a necromancer. The first movie didn’t reach the heights of the LotR trilogy but it was still a really fun fantasy movie, so hopefully this will one will keep that up. It’s out December 13th and you can check out the trailer below.
