It’s hard to believe that we are about the get the sixth movie in the Sniper series as Sniper: Ghost Shooter arrives in August. Billy Zane is back as Richard Miller, leading a team of snipers, including Brandon Beckett, the son of Tom Berenger’s character from four of the Sniper movies. Dennis Haysbert sends the team out to take down a terrorist leader but there seems to be some sort of mole, as the team is ambushed and have to go dark. The first Sniper holds a special place in my heart but I haven’t seen any of the sequels but watching the trailer for this one, there probably isn’t too much to catch up on, besides the fact that Tom Berenger’s character was killed in one of the movies so his son could take over. It looks like it could be some solid action fun with things like Dennis Haysbert saying “make it rain!” and the bullet cam back from the previous movies. It’s out on DVD and VOD on August 2nd and you can check out the trailer below.
