Based on a novel by David Eggers, Emma Watson stars in the adaptation of The Circle. It seems like if you love Black Mirror, this will be right up your alley as Watson plays a young woman named Mae who gets a job at the powerful tech company The Circle, led by Steve Jobsy Bailey (Tom Hanks) where they believe everyone should have access to all information and experiences and their cult like users provide all of their personal information and use webcams to stream everything they do. Things get nefarious and it might be too late for Watson to get out. John Boyega, Karen Gillian, Patton Oswalt, Bill Paxton, Brando Marler and Glenne Headley co-star and it’s directed by James Ponsoldt, who previously directed the movies The Spectacular Now and The End of the Tour. The Circle is out on April 28 and you can check out the trailer below.
