The DC Universe is leaning into horror this October when Clayface hits theaters. Tom Rhys Harries stars as Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood star whose career gets cut short when he’s attacked under orders from a local Gotham City crime boss. Left with a disfigured face and abandoned by his team, Matt is willing to do anything to restore what he lost, even if it means an experimental and potentially dangerous medical treatment. While the treatment seems to restore his face to how it was, the side effects begin to grow increasingly out of control. Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll and Joshua James co-star. James Watkins, who most recently directed the English version of Speak No Evil, is directing the film from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. It is a part of the new DC Universe proper, so maybe there will be some references and cameos from other Batman/DC characters. Clayface arrives in theaters on October 23rd, and you can check out the new trailer below.
