Hitting theaters in Japan this fall and Netflix everywhere else, Godzilla: Monster Planet is the first official animated project from the OG Godzilla studio, Toho. Set 20,000 years in the future, Godzilla and other Kaiju have taken over Earth and forced humanity to leave on a massive colony ship but during the 20 year journey to a new planet, a group determined to return to Earth and get revenge takes command and they return and launch an assault on the monsters. Koubun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita are the team behind it, having previously worked on the anime Knights of Sidonia, and you can check out the new trailer below.
