With the disintegration of the Dark Universe after only one movie, Universal has turned the reigns of their classic Monsters over to Blumhouse, with things starting in February with a new Invisible Man. Elisabeth Moss stars as Cecilia Kass, who escapes an abusive relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist. Her ex apparently commits suicide sometime later and leaves Cecilia his fortune but Cecilia begins to suspect his death was a hoax and he’s discovered a way to turn himself invisible to continue terrorizing her unseen and unsuspected. Harriet Dyer, Aldis Hodge, and Storm Reid co-star and Leigh Whannell is directing. Unlike the failed Dark Universe, these new takes on the Monsters are supposed to be horror based and stand-alone, which is what Universal should have done to begin with. The movie arrives on February 28th and you can check out the trailer below.
