Spider-Man: No Way Home remained at the top of the box office charts as January 2022 wrapped up and it’s made over $1 billion in the markets outside of the domestic market, the first Sony film to ever achieve that, along with a combined worldwide gross of $1.7 billion.

Much like other 80s horror movies like Dream Warriors and Jason Lives, Wes Craven’s 1989 slasher movie Shocker looked to the world of heavy metal for its soundtrack and got a supergroup called The Dudes of Wrath for its title song, which featured the likes of Paul Stanley, Desmond Child, Tommy Lee and more.

After letting Scream take the spot last weekend, Spider-Man: No Way Home is back on the top of the box office charts and still climbing up the all-time domestic and worldwide record lists while the baffling saga of The King’s Daughter, a movie shot and finished in 2014 that only saw release this past weekend, came to an ignominious end with one of the worst openings of all time.
