Snow White Goes Live Action in March (Trailer)
Disney is returning to the beginning next spring with the live-action remake of its first full-length animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Snow White stars Rachel Zegler as the title character, a princess whose kingdom is taken over by the Evil Queen (Gal Gadot). The Queen, obsessed with being the “fairest of them all,” plots to kill Snow White, who flees into the nearby magical woods and takes shelter with a group of dwarves (Martin Klebba voices Grumpy). Andrew Burnap, Ansu Kabia, Dujonna Gift, and Colin Michael Carmichael co-star. Marc Webb directed the movie, with Greta Gerwig co-writing the script with Erin Cressida Wilson. The movie has been a lightning rod of controversy since it was announced with the casting of Zegler, the Seven Dwarfs being CG creations instead of live-action dwarf actors, Zegler and Gadot’s contrasting opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and more. We’ll have to see if all that hurts the movie or if it will be forgotten and give Disney another hit when Snow White opens on March 21st next year. You can check out the trailer below.
