Apple TV dropped a trio of Comic-Con trailers for a returning series, a new series, and an original movie.
Matchbox The Movie stars John Cena as CIA agent Sean Walker. When he returns to his hometown to reunite with his childhood friends, the “Matchbox Gang”, they are abducted, and Sean reveals that he’s being framed for the theft of a nuclear warhead. With the help of his friends, he has to clear his name and stop the real villains—Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, Bill Camp, and Corey Stoll co-star. Extraction director Sam Hargrave directed the movie.  Matchbox The Movie debuts on Apple TV on October 9th.
Dark Matter is back on August 22nd as the Dessens try to find a new life on an alternate world. However, there is still the threat of alternate Jasons (Joel Edgerton) finding them and other forces out to gain control of The Box and the unimaginable power it can give. Chris Diamantopoulos joins the cast as what seems like a detective investigating the fallout of the first season. Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Oakes Fegley, and Dayo Okeniyi return from the first season. This season will tell its own original story, as the first season finished the storyline of the novel it’s based on by Blake Crouch.
Neuromancer debuts on Apple TV on January 22nd and is an adaptation of the 1984 William Gibson novel, which was one of the foundational pieces of media for the cyberpunk genre. Callum Turner stars as Case, a hacker who joins forces with Molly (Brianna Middleton), an assassin, to attempt a high-stakes heist: Joseph Lee, Mark Strong, Clémence Poésy, Peter Sarsgaard, and Emma Laird co-star. The series was created by Graham Roland, who created Dark Winds for AMC, and J.D. Dillard, who most recently directed the movie Devotion. Â
