I think we definitely have a contender for the Lincoln Hawk Memorial Over the Top Award after watching this clip from 2012. You have John Cusack yelling about how California is going down, the worst Arnold impression ever and then an escape in the most practical vehicle ever, a limo, that gets more and more over the top with each scene which then leads to an airplane escape which climaxes with California literally falling into the ocean… the whole state, into the ocean. This seems to be the culmination of Roland Emmerich’s obsession with disasters and I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire Earth explodes at the end. Check out the clip below.
