After staging a triumphant comeback in The Muppets, the entire gang is off on a European tour in Muppets Most Wanted, coming next Spring. As the title suggests though, the Muppets get into some criminal trouble when a pair of criminals, Ricky Gervais and a Kermit doppleganger, try to use the Muppets tour as a front for a crime spree. Ty Burrell of Modern Family plays Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon and Tina Fey is Russian prison warden. Bret McKenzie is back on songwriting duties and Jams Bobin is back to direct. Hopefully some of the Muppest who were a little under used in the first movie, like Rizzo, Beaker and Dr. Benson Honeydew can get some great scenes along with the new Muppets like Walter and, my favorite, 80’s Robot. Check out the trailer below and the movie is out in March of next year.
