Netflix has a pretty strong slate of original shows with House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, the upcoming Marvel shows and now what looks like may be their attempt at a Game of Thrones style show, Marco Polo. Starring Lorenzo Richelmy as the famous explorer, the show follows his journey from Italy to China along the Silk Road, where he experiences the court of Kublai Khan (Benedict Wong), which seems to rival King’s Landing as far as shadowy business, violence and orgies are concerned (one of the executive producers is actually from GoT). All episodes of the show will debut on December 12th and you can check out the trailer below.
