The next installment of the recharged X-men franchise is here: X-men Apocalypse has arrived:
Picking up sometime after X-Men Days of Future Past, Apocalypse shows us Charlies Xavier and his students facing off against the supreme mutant Apocalypse, the world’s first Mutant. Xavier appears to have continued his school and helped mentor a new generations of mutants such as Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey and Cyclops. We can see the return of familiar faces such as Mystique, Beast, Havok and Moira MacTaggert. Opposing Xavier and his students are Apocalypse and his four horsemen, Psylocke, Storm, Archangel and Magneto. Interesting to note that this was the first time in a long series of X-Men movies to not predominately feature Wolverine as one of the title characters, but Hugh Jackman is in this movie at some point and will no doubt have a spot in Trailer #2.
X-men Apocalypse is set to release Memorial Day, May 30th 2016.
