Netflix has been one of the best sources for documentaries on the internet and they are bringing an original World War II documentary to their streaming service on March 31st with Five Came Back. Telling the story of Frank Capra, John Ford, John Huston, George Stevens and William Wyler, the men who would become some of the most legendary directors ever, they enlisted at the start of World War II and documented the horrors and triumphs for the audiences back home. Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Guillermo Del Toro, Paul Greengrass and Lawrence Kasdan tell their stories along with narration by Meryl Streep and it seems like an interesting story that hasn’t really been told this widely before.
