The back half of 2017 is going to have a ton of Idris Elba (which is always welcome) between The Dark Tower, Thor: Ragnorak and now, The Mountain Between Us. Co-starring Kate Winslet, the movie stars the pair as a couple of strangers trying to get home from Idaho to the West Coast but commercial flights are cancelled due to weather, so they book a charter flight together but the plane crashes in the Rockies. The pilot doesn’t survive (but his dog does) and the duo only have each other to rely on to try and survive and reach civilization. It’s based on a novel by Charles Martin and it looks like a solid disaster/survival movie and there’s apparently a romantic side to things as well as the pair grow close trying to survive together. It’s out on October 20th and you can check out the trailer below.
