Tommy Wiseau’s insane magnum opus, The Room, has become one of the most legendary bad movies of all time, garnering endless midnight shows and audience participation on the level of Rocky Horror and now, the story behind the making of The Room will be told in an adaptation of co-star Greg Sestero’s book, The Disaster Artist. James Franco directs and stars as Tommy while his brother Dave plays Sestero and a murder’s row of comedic actors fill out the exasperated crew and cast of The Room, including Zac Efron, Alison Brie, Zoey Deutch, Seth Rogen, Paul Scheer and many more. Although it will hopefully be pretty hilarious it sounds like from early reviews at Cannes that the movie will also possibly humanize the enigma that is Tommy Wiseau, which the book also did as it dove into the equal parts lovely and bizarre friendship between Wiseau and Sestero. The movie is out on December 8th and you can check out the trailer below.
