The great Mad Mikkelsen takes on the brutal cold of nature in next month’s survival thriller Arctic. Mikkelsen plays a pilot of a small plane that crashes in the Arctic. There’s another survivor, played by Maria Thelma Smáradóttir, but she’s badly injured and won’t last long so Mikkelsen has to make the difficult choice of leaving their relatively warm and safe camp around the plane to try and make it to somewhere they can be rescued or find a way to contact help. The brutal landscape and dangerous wildlife lay between them and rescue and it looks pretty great and has gotten great reviews from the festivals it showed at last year. The movie hits select theaters on February 1st and you can check out the trailer below.
