The always brilliant duo of Danny McBridge and Jody Hill are back for their third HBO series, The Righteous Gemstones, which arrives in August. McBride plays Jesse Gemstone, the older sibling of the Gemstone preacher family, who have amassed millions as televangelists. Adam Devine plays his brother, Kelvin, and John Goodman is the family patriarch, Eli. Edi Patterson is back from Vice Principals as Judy Gemstone and Cassidy Freeman and Tony Cavalero round out the Gemstone clan. Walton Goggins will guest star at some point as rival televangelist Baby Billy Freeman and it looks like some more profane and hilarious comedy, although Vice Principals set a ridiculously high bar.
