Volume 2 of Netflix’s Heavy Metal style anthology series Love, Death + Robots arrives in May with another batch of adult animation sci-fi shorts from Tim Miller, David Fincher, Jennifer Miller, and Joshua Donen. There are not any specifics in the trailer but it looks like it is maintaining the first season’s mix of drastically different animation styles that this time seems to include something akin to a Pixar movie with kids on Christmas to hyperrealistic CG stories, including one starring Michael B. Jordan. It also seems to be maintaining the first series’ blend of hardcore action and violence with lowbrow humor and gags, like last season’s crazy yogurt story.
