Coming from the director of 2020’s Zoom-based horror movie Host, Rob Savage, Dashcam takes the streaming on the road for a new found-footage horror movie. Starring Giant Drag lead singer Annie Hardy, the movie follows “Annie Hardy” as she travels from the US to the UK during the Covid pandemic to get away from the lockdowns and continue to produce her streaming internet show, Band Car. Things go bad when she picks up a woman named Angela and Annie’s internet audience experiences it all as the stream continues through all the horror and they are also commenting on the action. The film debuted at the 2021 TIFF film festival and got mixed reviews but it will be out in theaters and On Demand on June 3rd. Check out the trailer below.
