Shawn Ryan, who previously brought us The Shield, Terriers, Timeless, Last Resort, and more, is bringing The Night Agent to Netflix in March. Based on the 2019 novel by Matthew Quirk, The Night Agent stars Gabriel Basso as FBI agent Peter Sutherland. Sutherland mans a special emergency phone in the basement of the White House that is used by American spies but the phone has never rung until a civilian, Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), somehow manages to call the line and gets Sutherland involved in a massive conspiracy that goes all the way to the Oval Office. Hong Chau, Sarah Desjardins, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Eve Harlow, Enrique Murciano, Phoenix Raei, and DB Woodside co-star and Seth Gordon, who previously directed Horrible Bosses, Baywatch and episodes of shows like For All Mankind, Sneaky Pete and The Good Doctor, is directing all 10 episodes.
