The Monsterverse is coming to Netflix at the end of the month when the animated series Skull Island debuts on the platform. Featuring Kong and set on his home, the show follows a group of shipwreck survivors who end up on Skull Island and face off against the various creatures inhabiting the island, including the King himself. Mae Whitman plays Annie, a girl who has been surviving on the island and has befriended one of the massive creatures with Betty Gilpin, Benjamin Bratt, Nicolas Cantu, and Darren Barnet being the rest of the main voice cast. Powerhouse Animation, who previously brought us Castlevania on Netflix, is the studio behind the show along with Legendary and Warner Bros. Animation. Skull Island arrives on June 22nd and you can check out the new trailer below.
