Jason Statham is teaming with Suicide Squad and Fury director David Ayer for the revenge thriller The Beekeeper, coming out in January next year. Statham plays Clay, a man who is literally a beekeeper but also a “Beekeeper”, an operative for a secret and powerful organization that maintains order around the globe. When a friend is the victim of a phishing scam and kills herself after losing her entire life savings, Clay seeks revenge and uncovers a massive global conspiracy that he decides to single-handedly take down. Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, Phylicia Rashad, and Jeremy Irons co-star. Kurt Wimmer, who directed Equilibrium and most recently wrote Expend4bles, wrote The Beekeeper. The movie is out on January 12th next year and you can check out the trailer below.
