The Bride! Reanimates in March (Trailer)

We saw Guillermo Del Toro’s excellent version of Frankenstein last year, and in March, Maggie Gyllenhaal is putting her spin on the classic monsters with The Bride!  Jessie Buckley stars as The Bride, who is the reanimated corpse of a murdered woman in the 1930s.  Joining her fellow undead, The Creature (Christian Bale), the pair become a sort of Bonnie & Clyde as they party and escape the police.  Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penélope Cruz co-star.  Along with directing the film, Gyllenhaal also wrote the screenplay.  It’s got big Joker vibes, but hopefully it’s better than the disaster that was Joker: Folie À Deux.  The Bride! is out on March 6th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
