The Energon Universe is expanding in a big way this summer, as Skybound and Image Comics revealed the first look at M.A.S.K. #1, hitting comic shops on June 10.
Written by Dan Watters with art by Pye Parr, the new series introduces Matt Trakker and his high-tech M.A.S.K. team into the shared universe alongside Transformers and G.I. Joe. The story pits Trakker’s elite operatives against Miles Mayhem and the sinister V.E.N.O.M. organization in a high-stakes arms race involving advanced transforming vehicles and deadly new weapons.
M.A.S.K. #1 will also feature an extensive lineup of variant covers from artists like J. Scott Campbell and Daniel Warren Johnson, along with a special blind bag program that gives fans a shot at rare surprise issues.
Fans can also get an early preview of the series in the Energon Universe Special 2026, arriving on Free Comic Book Day 2026 this May.
