Not to be confused with the hit single from Mark Cherry, Getaway is actually an upcoming thriller starring Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez where Hawke’s wife is kidnapped by a mysterious man who sends him on a race against time to get her back. Gomez is the owner of the car Hawke steals, a Shelby Cobra Mustang. Jon Voight seems to be the man behind the kidnapping, according to the credit list. The movie is supposed to take place mostly in the car, so it’s kind of a variation on the “trapped in one place” genre. The movie is out this Labor Day and you can check the trailer below.
