TNT’s post-apocalyptic action show The Last Ship returns this summer for a third season as the crew of the USS Nathan James continues their fight to bring the world back from the brink after a massive pandemic devastated the globe. The fight moves to Asia in Season 3, as the Nathan James crew, led by Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane), managed to fight off a crew of naturally immune adversaries last season and got the US government back on track by helping re-establishing the Presidency but now learn that the Chinese may be trying to horde the cure instead of spreading to their people. Things are also bad as the cure’s creator, Dr. Scott (Rhona Mitra) was shot and left bleeding at the end of last season and her fate is unknown. If you like the over the top military action of Michael Bay mixed with disease thrillers like Outbreak, The Last Ship is definitely a fun show to catch up on if you haven’t checked it out yet. Season 3 starts on June 12th on TNT and you can check out the trailer below.
