The Equalizer was an extremely solid entry in the “Denzel Washington is a Bad Ass” genre of action and his Robert McCall is back this summer for The Equalizer 2. Continuing his mission to help out anyone in need of justice, things get personal when his friend and fellow CIA agent Susan Plummer (Melisa Leo) is murdered and he teams up with another agent, played by Pedro Pascal, to get revenge. Sakina Jaffrey, Ashton Sanders and Bill Pullman co-star and Antoine Fuqua is back to direct. It looks like things are bigger and more dangerous and McCall may travel the globe on his quest for vengeance but there are still things from the first movie, like his Sherlock Holmesesque analysis skills and his predilection for timing things out. The movie is out on July 20th and you can check out the trailer below.
