The hype train begins for the next MCU mega event with the first official teaser for Avengers: Doomsday.  Announced at SDCC last year, Robert Downey Jr. returns to the MCU but now he’s the villainous Doctor Doom and it wil take the combined forces of the Thunderbolts (aka The New Avengers), Fantastic Four, X-Men, Wakandans and Avengers to stop him. The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta MejÃa, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal, pulling in legacy and new additions to the larger Marvel universe. Joe and Anthony Russo return to direct after delivering the one/two punch of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.  This teaser confirms that another Avenger, Chris Evans, is returning as Steve Rogers, who is living on a rural farm with a newborn child.  Avengers: Doomsday arrives slightly under a year from now on December 18th, 2026, and you can check out the teaser below.
