We discussed F/X on the most recent Everything Actioncast podcast, including the movie’s end credits song, the appropriately titled “Just an Illusion” by Imagination. Formed in 1981, Imagination was a British funk/soul trio that had several hit songs in the UK and 28 other countries. “Just an Illusion” was released as a single in 1982 and was off the group’s second album, In the Heat of the Night. It reached #2 on the UK Singles chart and charted on the Billboard “Hot Black Singles” and “Hot Dance Club Plays” charts in the US. Along with appearing at the end of F/X, the instrumental version of the song was used for the broadcasts of the PBA Tour on the USA Network during in-between round segments.
