The Toys are Back in Town in October from Digital Eclipse

To go along with Toy Story 5 this year, Atari and Digital Eclipse are bringing back most of the fan-favorite Toy Story games with two new releases.

The first is Toy Story: Retro Roundup!, which includes Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999), Toy Story 2 (1999), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000), Toy Story Racer (2001), and A Bug’s Life (1998).  The games feature multiple versions, such as the SNES, Genesis, and Game Boy versions of Toy Story, and also include behind-the-scenes interviews with people like Jon Burton, the founder of TT Games, voice actor Jim Hanks, Head of Story at Pixar Jason Katz, and more.  There’s also concept art, manuals, and advertisements to dig through, and quality-of-life mechanics like Rewind and “Rex’s Cheat Codes” to unlock things like invincibility.

Also releasing is Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, a remastered edition of the critically acclaimed game.  You can play through the Story Mode as Buzz, Woody, and Jessie, and also Toy Box mode, where you can explore the sandbox of Woody’s Roundup and customize the buildings, complete quests, and explore however you want.  This Complete Edition features all content previously restricted to certain versions of the game, such as playing as Zurg in Toy Box mode.

Both games are releasing on October 15th, and there’s a combo pack for both games, as well as separate releases.  Both games are out on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch/Switch 2.
