After directing the last few Monsterverse movies, Adam Wingard is unleashing a trio of deadly super soldiers in September with Onslaught.  Adria Arjona stars as Celeste, an Army sniper and single mom who finds herself up against genetically enhanced super soldiers who have escaped from a government facility and are killing anything in their path. Alex Perriera stars as the lead super soldier, The Butcher, and Drew Starkey, Rebecca Hall, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Eric Wareheim, and Dan Stevens co-star. At SDCC this past weekend, Wingard and Stevens said the movie is a “spiritual sequel” to their cult classic, The Guest, but also said it’s in the same universe, so we’ll have to see if and how much of a connection there is between the two movies. Onslaught is out on September 4th, and you can check out the new trailer below.
