We had In A Violent Nature this year stay in the POV of a slasher villain, and next year, Steven Soderbergh will put audiences into the POV of a spirit haunting a house in Presence. Shot entirely in long takes from the first person perspective, the movie follows a family that moves into a new home and slowly realizes there is some sort of spirit or entity observing them—Lucy Liu, Julia Fox, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday, and West Mulholland co-star. The movie debuted at Sundance in January, and rave reviews were received for its technical prowess and storytelling. The film will hit theaters on January 17th next year, thanks to Neon.
