Danielle Deadwyler Defends Her Land in 40 Acres (Trailer)
Danielle Deadwyler plays a former soldier defending her farm and family in the upcoming action thriller 40 Acres. Set in a near future where the world has been ravaged by famine, Hailey Freeman (Deadwyler) and her partner Galen (Michael Greyeyes) have carved out a shelter on the Freeman family farm with their children, who they’ve trained to fight (and kill if needed). When Hailey’s eldest son meets a young woman outside the family’s border, his need for human contact makes the family the target of a vicious militia who want to take everything the Freemans have. Kataem O’Connor and Milcania Diaz-Rojas co-star with R.T. Thorne directing the movie. 40 Acres will be out on July 2nd in theaters, and you can check out the trailer below.
